Cancellation and Refund Policy

Air Busan provides flexible cancellation and refund options, ensuring convenience for its passengers. Below are the key points of their policy:

Cancellation Policy

Whether you can cancel your booking and get a refund depends heavily on the fare type you purchased (e.g., Super-Special Fare, Special Fare, Regular Fare) and whether the ticket has been used (fully or partially).

For unused tickets: you may be eligible for a refund of the paid fare minus any applicable cancellation/refund fees. If you’ve already flown one portion, the refund amount is reduced by the fare portion used.

For voluntary cancellations (you cancel): you must submit your refund request via the airline’s reservation centre or original point of purchase. A refund fee or cancellation charge will apply, and the amount depends on how far in advance you cancel.

For involuntary refunds (e.g., the airline cancels the flight or significantly changes schedule): you’re generally entitled to the full fare and charge paid, with no cancellation fee applied.

If you do not board the flight (a “no-show”) without proper cancellation, you may forfeit the refund entitlement altogether or face steep penalties.

For tickets issued in Korea: the refund will be paid in Korean won, even if you purchased in a foreign currency, and it goes back to the passenger or their authorised representative. For foreign issued tickets: local rules and currency of issue apply.

The refund process may take some weeks (typically 2–3 weeks) after approval, depending on how the ticket was purchased (credit card, cash, agent).

Special fares/promotional fares may be non-refundable, or only partially refundable (taxes/fees returned, fare not). Always check your fare rules at time of booking.

Refundable tickets can be canceled at any time before departure for a full refund to the original payment method.

Baggage Fees

If the flight is canceled by the airline:

The airlines will refund prepaid baggage fees automatically or allow you to use the credit on your rebooked flight. You can usually request a full refund through the airline’s website or customer service.

If you cancel the flight yourself:

Prepaid baggage fees are often non-refundable, unless you booked a refundable fare or the airline’s policy explicitly allows it.
