Passengers traveling with Delta Air Lines are welcome to bring the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger traveling on Delta Air Lines is allowed one carry-on bag and one personal item onboard free of charge. The carry-on bag must not exceed 56cm x 35cm x 23cm (22in x 14in x 9in), including handles and wheels, and should fit in the overhead bin. The personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or small backpack must fit underneath the seat in front of you.

Passengers traveling with infants may also bring one diaper bag in addition to their standard carry-on allowance.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Delta Air Lines’ checked baggage policy depends on your travel class, route, and SkyMiles status.

For most international flights, Main Cabin and Delta Comfort+ passengers may check one bag weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs) free of charge. Delta Premium Select, First Class, and Delta One travelers can check two bags up to 32 kg (70 lbs) each.

All checked bags must not exceed 157 cm (62 inches) in total dimensions. Passengers exceeding these limits will be charged additional fees based on weight, size, or number of pieces. Prepaying for baggage online offers lower rates than airport payment.

Extra Baggage

If your baggage exceeds the standard weight or piece allowance, additional fees apply based on your route and class of service. Oversized or overweight bags may incur higher charges.

Passengers can save by pre-purchasing extra baggage online through Delta’s official website or mobile app before arriving at the airport.

For further information about the baggage policy, please contact the Delta Air Lines Japan Service Hotline at Tel: 0570 077 733 (Local Call) / +81 4 7631 8000, or reach out to your local ticketing agent.
