Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Emirates allows passengers to bring cabin baggage on board according to their travel class. Economy Class passengers may carry one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 7 kg (15 lbs). First Class and Business Class passengers are entitled to two pieces, one briefcase and either one handbag or one garment bag, with a total combined weight not exceeding 7 kg each.

The maximum dimensions for cabin baggage are 55cm x 38cm x 20cm (22in x 15in x 8in) for each item. Passengers traveling with infants are permitted to bring one additional carry-on bag containing essential baby items, as long as it fits under the seat in front of them.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage allowances on Emirates flights vary depending on the travel class and route. Under the weight concept (most routes), passengers in Economy Class are allowed 20 - 35 kg, Business Class passengers 40 kg, and First Class passengers 50 kg.

For routes following the piece concept (such as flights to/from the Americas and Africa), Economy Class passengers may check two pieces up to 23 kg each, while Business and First Class passengers may check two pieces up to 32 kg each.

Extra Baggage

If your baggage exceeds the standard allowance, excess baggage charges will apply based on your route and booking class. Emirates offers the option to pre-purchase additional baggage allowance online at discounted rates before your flight.
