Cancellation and Refund Policy

Korean Air provides flexible cancellation and refund options, ensuring convenience for its passengers. Below are the key points of their policy:

Cancellation Policy

24-Hour Cancellation Rule

Passengers may cancel their Korean Air ticket within 24 hours of booking for a full refund, provided the departure date is at least 24 hours away.

Non-Refundable Tickets

If canceled after the 24-hour grace period, the ticket value may be refunded as a travel credit, minus any applicable cancellation fees. Promotional or discounted fares are generally non-refundable after this period.

Refundable Tickets

Refundable tickets can be canceled at any time before the scheduled departure for a full refund to the original form of payment, subject to fare conditions.

How to Cancel

Go to the Manage Booking section on the Korean Air website or mobile app.

Enter your booking reference and passenger details to cancel or modify your reservation.

Refund Policy

Eligible Refunds

Refunds for eligible tickets are processed back to the original payment method. Credit card refunds usually take 7 - 10 business days to reflect, depending on your bank’s processing time.

Baggage Fees

If the flight is canceled by Korean Air: Prepaid baggage fees will be automatically refunded or credited toward your rebooked flight.

If you cancel your flight: Prepaid baggage fees are generally non-refundable unless your fare type allows it or the airline’s policy states otherwise.
