Scoot provides flexible cancellation and refund options, ensuring convenience for its passengers. Below are the key points of their policy:

Cancellation Policy

By default, Scoot tickets are non-refundable, according to their fare rules.

You can change your flight date or time (not the route or passenger name) up to 4 hours before departure, for a fee plus any fare difference.

Scoot offers a “Cancel Your Trip” add-on:

Must be bought during booking or within 24 hours afterwards.

With this add-on, you can cancel for any reason up to 4 hours before departure (as long as you haven’t checked in).

Refunds from this cancellation go into a Scoot voucher, not cash, and are valid for 12 months.

The add-on itself (Cancel Your Trip) is non-refundable.

Refund Policy

For most fare types, no cash refund is given for cancellations if you don’t have the Cancel Your Trip add-on.

If Scoot cancels your flight:

They may offer a refund to your original payment method for the unused portion.

Alternatively, they could issue a Scoot voucher for your unused itinerary.

Refunds are usually processed within ~20 business days once your refund application is approved.

In exceptional cases (e.g., serious illness or death), Scoot may provide a refund or credit.

Baggage Fees

If the flight is canceled by the airline:

Prepaid baggage fees are automatically refunded by Scoot, or the airline may allow you to apply the credit to your rebooked flight. You can also request a full refund through Scoot’s website or by contacting customer service.

If you cancel the flight yourself:

Prepaid baggage fees are generally non-refundable, unless you purchased a refundable fare (rare on Scoot) or the airline’s terms specifically permit a refund. In most cases, baggage fees are forfeited when the passenger initiates the cancellation.
