High Speed Ferry from Kansai International Airport (KIX) to Kobe Airport (UKB)

BAY SHUTTLE, the high speed ferry travelling between Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Kobe Airport (UKB). The ferry services start as early as 6:30 am and end at 12:00 am with 32 trips daily, 16 trips each direction to / from Kobe Airport and Kansai International Airport. The Bay Shuttle runs daily with the frequency of every 45 minutes to 120 minutes depending on the time slots. Check the time table attached below.

KIX Airport Ferry to Kobe Airport

The traveling times between Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Kobe Airport (UKB) by the Bay Shuttle is about 30 minutes. While travelling time are dependent on the weather and sea condition, those with reservations will be notified in advance of any cancellations due to inclement weather, in which case alternative buses will be operated.

The Bay Shuttle is fully equipped with 6 barrier-free seats, a bathroom, and space for wheelchairs. The shuttle is accessible to everyone, regardless of disabilities or other factors. Hopping on the Bay Shuttle is the cheaper option than taking a bus or a train from KIX to Kobe. Some discount plans available for foreign tourists occasionally, check around!

Upon exit from the Arrival Gate, follow the signage to the High-speed Ferry Ticket Counter.

If you're arriving at Terminal 1, exit the Arrival Gate and head to the High-Speed Ferry Ticket Counter, located next to Exit A on the right side (Northern end) of the same floor, to purchase a ferry ticket. After purchased the ferry ticket, go through Exit A next to the ticket counter. From Bus Stop 12, take the designated Ferry Terminal Shuttle Bus to the ferry pier.

For Terminal 2 arrival, you can purchase your ferry ticket from the High-Speed Ferry Ticket Counter right in front of the Arrival Gate. Once you exit the terminal building, you will see the designated Ferry Terminal Shuttle Buses next to the Charter Bus Stop on the left. Take the shuttle bus from there to the ferry pier.

It is a 5 minute shuttle bus ride to the pier from Terminal 1 and a 10-minute ride from Terminal 2.

The ticket counter is manned with Japanese and English speaking staff. Occasionally, Chinese and Korean speaking staff are also available.
