Hiroshima Airport (IATA: HIJ, ICAO: RJOA) is the primary airport serving
Hiroshima Prefecture, located about 50 km east of Hiroshima City in Mihara.
Opened in 1993, it replaced the former Hiroshima West Airport and now
functions as an important gateway to western Japan, offering domestic and
international connections.

Airport limousine buses connect Hiroshima Airport to Hiroshima Station in
about 45 minutes. Buses also run to Fukuyama and other regional cities.

expressway makes it convenient for travelers exploring Hiroshima, Miyajima,
and surrounding areas.
