Kōchi Ryōma Airport (IATA: KCZ, ICAO: RJOK) is the main airport serving Kōchi Prefecture, located in Nankoku City about 18 km east of central Kōchi City on Japan’s Shikoku Island. Named after the famous samurai and reformer Sakamoto Ryōma, the airport provides convenient access to southern Shikoku’s natural and cultural attractions.

Facilities

The terminal building is modern and compact, offering essential traveler services such as restaurants featuring local specialties like katsuo no tataki (seared bonito), souvenir shops, cafés, and free Wi-Fi. Additional amenities include car rental counters, ATMs, nursing rooms, and a tourist information desk. The observation deck offers views of aircraft operations with the Pacific Ocean in the background. Accessibility features are available throughout the terminal for passengers with reduced mobility.

Airlines and Destinations

All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Airlines (JAL) operate frequent domestic services connecting Kōchi with Tokyo (Haneda), Osaka (Itami), and Nagoya (Chubu). These routes make it easy to reach Kōchi from Japan’s major cities. Seasonal charter flights are occasionally operated to other destinations depending on demand.

Public Transportation
